My intent for this blog is as a journal for my journey as a Christian. I want it to be a roadmap. For me, it is one I can use to look back over where I've been. All the obstacles, hurdles, and just plain frights that I've had and how Christ lifted me over all of it. Sort of a reminder and reinforcement of His faithfulness and love when I fall into other difficult times. It is also a place where I can work through questions or even biblical points of interest that I may be digging into more deeply and want to chart my journey into that.
Anyway, if you've found this blog while looking for answers, I'm afraid you may be a bit frustrated. I don't have any answers that aren't already in the Bible. Maybe together we can find our answers, trusting always in the Lord to guide our search.
I want to close this first post with John 20:29. I love this verse because it is a powerful reminder that we live by faith. The things we see with our eyes are temporal and will one day be gone, but through faith we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven and live there for eternity.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
